Allison Cheng is a soprano vocalist, choral conductor, and educator originally from Oregon. She is a K-12 music educator in the state of California with a M.M. in Contemporary Teaching Practices K-12 from University of Southern California, M.M. degree in Choral Music at the University of Southern California, and a B.Mus. in Vocal Performance from La Sierra University. In 2019 she was accepted into the Thornton Board of Councilor Mentoring Program and paired with choral conductor Grant Gershon of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Currently she is working at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood as the director of Carol Choir and a choir, guitar teacher for Palisades Charter High School in Southern, California. 

She has performed with the USC Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe. While performing with Chamber Singers she sang Beethoven's 9th Symphony under Carl St. Clair, Considering Matthew Shepherd under Craig Hella Johnson, and toured the Baltics and Poland. While completing her first masters she also sang with Los Robles Master Chorale under the direction of Dr. Lesley Leighton. In 2016 she soloed with Los Robles Master Chorale and the LA Philharmonic in the Green Umbrella Concert conducted by John Adams. She was also a soloist with Los Robles Master Chorale in 2017 for Chorus America and performer for an artist lecture in 2022 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.  

As a choral conductor, she has acted as assistant conductor for Los Robles Master Chorale and director for First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood Heaven Bound Choir, Teen Bells, and Carol Choir. She also participated as a sub - conductor in the Fluxus Festival in 2019 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

As an educator she has spent time working from Transitional Kindergarten to 80 year olds. She is a life long learner and has certificates in Music for Children with Special Needs, Kodaly, and from the Summer Vocolgy Institute. She is also a member of PAVA, ACDA, OAKE and KASC.
